Federal agents searched the Washington home of Ilhan Omar, a Democratic member of Congress from Minnesota.

The Justice Department said the search was carried out under a court-authorised warrant as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, but did not name Omar or explain the investigation.

News reports linked the search to a fraud inquiry about immigration paperwork filed by Omar’s late father when she was a child; officials have not confirmed that link.

Omar, who came to the United States from Somalia as a child, said the search was an attempt to target political opponents.

The party is seeking 500,000 lira from Sevinç, 600,000 lira over Soykan’s broadcasts and 500,000 lira from Emre.

One account also names BirGün TV in the case involving Soykan, while another names Soykan alone.

Volkswagen delivered about 1.9 million vehicles worldwide from July to September, 14.3% fewer than in the same period a year earlier.

The German carmaker, based in Wolfsburg, also reported a 9% fall in deliveries during the first nine months of the year.

China was the main pressure point: deliveries there fell 38.5% in the third quarter amid a shrinking market, price pressure and competition from local manufacturers.

Growth in Europe and South America was not enough to offset that decline.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 launched from Florida before dawn on October 13, carrying a Dragon spacecraft toward the International Space Station.

The flight was an ISS resupply mission, sending supplies to the orbiting station.

As the rocket climbed, its exhaust spread high in the atmosphere and formed a broad plume.

Early sunlight lit the plume, creating a shape that many people called a space jellyfish.

Researchers say muscle and liver cells can retain signs of past exercise even after someone stops training.

In studies using mice, animals that exercised, took a break and trained again grew larger muscles than mice with no training history.

Their muscle cells also matched energy production to demand more effectively, and this ability remained during inactivity.

The researchers say liver cells also store exercise memories and release enzymes that help supply fuel to working muscles.
