Raye says bots overwhelmed sign-ups for 5,000-seat Royal Albert Hall show

Raye says AI bots overwhelmed sign-ups for her one-off show at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The singer said bots created hundreds of thousands of fake registrations, leaving 1.8 million sign-ups for 5,000 seats.

To limit ticket touts’ advantage, her team manually reviewed the list and selected people believed to be real fans.

Those selected will receive a pre-sale link and code by email, with the pre-sale due to open shortly afterwards.

Remaining tickets will go on general sale, according to Raye.

She said the experience had changed how she thinks about ticketing and that her team will consider what to do in future.

The show, called Symphony May Contain Hope, will feature songs from her recent second album.
