Texans acquire Marvin Harrison Jr. from Cardinals for 2027 draft picks

The Houston Texans have acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals.

Houston sent Arizona a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick, and received Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick.

Harrison, 24, was selected fourth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

He had five catches on 13 targets in four games this season as Arizona’s offense was led by quarterback Jacoby Brissett.

In Houston, he will reunite with C.J. Stroud, who played with him at Ohio State and supported the move to the Texans’ front office.

Houston has started the season 1-4 and has struggled to score, while receiver Tank Dell has been sidelined by a major knee injury.

The trade gives Stroud another receiver, and Harrison gets a fresh start with a team trying to improve its offense.
