Dre Greenlaw ejected after headbutting Seahawks player
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected during a game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
The incident happened in the second quarter, after Greenlaw was penalized for a late hit on Seattle quarterback Sam Darnold.
Greenlaw then argued with Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV on the sideline.
Jones appeared to grab Greenlaw’s facemask, and Greenlaw headbutted Jones, who was not wearing a helmet.
The ejection left San Francisco without Greenlaw for the rest of the game, and the 15-yard penalty helped Seattle move into position for a field goal.
Greenlaw has been ejected once before in his NFL career, during a 2023 game against Philadelphia.
