Hezbollah to offer up to $14,000 to Lebanese families with destroyed homes
Hezbollah will provide financial aid to families with damaged homes in Lebanon after this year's war with Israel.
The group's plan comes after Israeli bombardment and invasion displaced hundreds of thousands of people.
Families must have used the affected property as their main home and must not own a second home.
Eligible families will receive up to $14,000, with different amounts for Beirut and its southern suburbs and for other areas.
The aid is intended for furniture and rent, and will be paid in four instalments over one year.
The first payment will be $3,500 in Beirut and its southern suburbs, or $3,000 elsewhere.
Hezbollah has not said how much it will spend on the plan, and the reported Iranian funding remains disputed.
