Collin Gosselin alleges abuse by mother Kate ahead of memoir release
Collin Gosselin, now 22, has accused his mother, Kate Gosselin, of physically and emotionally mistreating him when he was a child.
He made the allegations in interviews ahead of the release of his memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight.”
Collin says Kate dragged him by the ear, leaving his ear swollen, and that she also mistreated his siblings.
He says a teacher noticed his swollen ear and he spoke with a school counselor.
The family became famous on the reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which followed Kate and Jon Gosselin raising their eight children.
After the couple divorced in 2009, Kate had primary custody, and Collin says she later sent him to an institution for treatment.
Kate said in 2016 that Collin needed treatment for educational and social challenges and called abuse reports unfounded.
The memoir is scheduled for release on Oct.
13.
