Singapore public healthcare services recover after network disruption

A network connectivity issue disrupted some public healthcare services in Singapore on Tuesday, Oct 13.

It affected services including call centres, visitor registration and billing enquiries, and some patients faced longer waits or payment problems.

Synapxe said there was no indication the disruption was a cyber incident.

Services began coming back online at about 3pm, and all affected services were restored by 4.37pm.

By the afternoon, most patients at the institutions visited said appointments and medication collection were largely proceeding as usual, though some reported longer waits.

The disruption temporarily affected patient-facing services, but most patients later experienced limited impact.
