Federal agents searched the Washington home of Ilhan Omar, a Democratic member of Congress from Minnesota.

The Justice Department said the search was carried out under a court-authorised warrant as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, but did not name Omar or explain the investigation.

News reports linked the search to a fraud inquiry about immigration paperwork filed by Omar’s late father when she was a child; officials have not confirmed that link.

Omar, who came to the United States from Somalia as a child, said the search was an attempt to target political opponents.

Pemex reported 9.18 billion pesos in losses from physical fuel theft in the second quarter of this year, its worst such losses since 2018.

The theft involves fuel taken directly from the company’s pipelines and tanker trucks in Mexico.

Pemex also acknowledged fuel smuggling through imports that appear legal but use false paperwork or other methods to avoid taxes and rules.

The company said authorities seized about 61 million litres of fuel in 2025, a 297% increase from 2024.

Researchers at Macquarie University filmed honeybee stingers pumping venom after they detach from the bee’s body.

They used high-speed cameras to record detached stingers working in a clear gel designed to mimic human skin.

The two-millimetre stinger keeps moving into its target and injecting venom even after the bee has flown away.

Its two sharp parts move back and forth to push the stinger deeper, while tiny valves work like pistons to keep venom flowing.

If the reported timing is accurate, PC players would wait only a few months after the console launch.

Researchers say muscle and liver cells can retain signs of past exercise even after someone stops training.

In studies using mice, animals that exercised, took a break and trained again grew larger muscles than mice with no training history.

Their muscle cells also matched energy production to demand more effectively, and this ability remained during inactivity.

The researchers say liver cells also store exercise memories and release enzymes that help supply fuel to working muscles.
