Taiwanese online commentator says Taiwan is a province of China
Taiwanese blogger Liu Jack said Taiwan is a province of China at a forum held on the island.
He pointed to wording on some Taiwanese identity cards, which he said refers to Taiwan as a province and lists some places under Fujian province.
He described cross-strait relations as a serious issue, criticizing Taiwan's political environment and saying politicians had not guided public thinking responsibly.
Liu said he saw two possible outcomes: peaceful unification or unification by force.
He warned that war remained possible, arguing that the absence of fighting now did not mean the risk had gone away.
He compared the situation to a bomb with a lit fuse and said Taiwan was like that bomb.
