Five Turkish press and writers groups asked the Justice Ministry to reopen the review of Sabahattin Ali’s killing.

Ali was a novelist and journalist killed in 1948 while trying to leave Turkey for Bulgaria.

Drinking water does not directly lower high blood sugar, according to diabetes educator and nurse Megan Asterino-McGeean.

She says staying hydrated can help prevent dehydration from making the situation worse.

When the body loses water, blood becomes more concentrated, which can raise a blood sugar reading.

High glucose can also lead the kidneys to remove more water through urine, increasing the risk of dehydration.
