Turkey updates list of foods found to be adulterated
Turkey’s Agriculture and Forestry Ministry updated its food inspection list on 12 October 2026.
The findings came from checks carried out across all 81 provinces.
Inspectors reported seed oils mixed into products sold as extra-virgin olive oil, and poultry or offal in some sausages and meat dishes.
They also found food colouring and sunflower seeds in pistachio baklava, starch in tulum cheese, and adulteration in flower honey.
The ministry publishes findings in separate lists for foods that may endanger health and foods found to be adulterated.
It says inspections and public disclosures will continue to protect consumers and prevent unfair competition.
