Bison plans first drilling at Nevada’s Bald Peaks gold-silver target

Bison Resources has filed a notice with the US Bureau of Land Management for its first drilling at the Bald Peaks project in Elko County, Nevada.

The company plans seven drill pads to test a 1.5-kilometre gold-silver anomaly.

The target was identified through rock sampling, geological mapping and geophysical work, but has not yet been tested below the surface.

Bison plans holes averaging about 300 metres deep to investigate the underlying rock layers.

A second batch of rock-chip assay results is due by the end of October and may help the company choose final drill locations.

The Bureau of Land Management must review the notice, and drilling can proceed once a reclamation bond is in place.

Bison is targeting a December 2026 start, with the planned drilling intended as an initial test of a broader geological corridor.

We have a 1.5 km Carlin-type trend sitting in the same structural setting as the known deposits across the region, and lodging the Notice puts us on track to test it at depth.
