For 2025, residents counted about 5,000 extra helicopter movements, while company chief Christoph Schmid put the excess at about 3,000.

The company’s flights serve a range of needs, including supplying mountain huts, carrying materials to remote work sites, tourism and pilot training.

Drinking water does not directly lower high blood sugar, according to diabetes educator and nurse Megan Asterino-McGeean.

She says staying hydrated can help prevent dehydration from making the situation worse.

When the body loses water, blood becomes more concentrated, which can raise a blood sugar reading.

High glucose can also lead the kidneys to remove more water through urine, increasing the risk of dehydration.
