PM Modi unveils Sapt Dhara roadmap for Viksit Bharat 2047
Every year, India celebrates its Independence Day.
In 2026, it was the 80th time.
The Prime Minister, PM Modi, gave a big speech from a famous fort called the Red Fort.
In his speech, he announced a new plan called 'Sapt Dhara', which means 'seven streams'.
The plan has seven important parts, like making things in India, growing food, new technology, safety, clean energy, the oceans, and sharing India's culture with the world.
He wants these seven parts to help India grow stronger.
The big goal is for India to become a developed country by the year 2047.
He said that in the next five to seven years, India can do great things.
He also said India's economy is growing very fast now.
He believes the young people of India will help make these dreams come true.
PM Modi unveiled the 'Sapt Dhara' roadmap during his address on India's 80th Independence Day.
The seven pillars are manufacturing; agriculture and food processing; technology and innovation; Gati-Shakti; Raksha Shakti; green and blue economy; and India's soft power.
The roadmap is intended to guide India's growth toward the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Modi said the next 5 to 7 years should achieve what was not accomplished in the previous 5 to 7 decades, with youth power harnessed in nation-building.
He said India has moved from the 'Fragile Five' to the world's fastest-growing major economy in 12 years and predicted more semiconductor plants in 7-8 years.
