Manipur Census Deferment Welcomed as Step Toward Public Aspirations

A high-level meeting was held with Manipur’s chief minister and governor present.

Patra thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the home minister.

He said the first demand, postponing the Census, had been accepted.

He added that a decision on updating the register could come later.
