A farmer named Varadaraj learned about avocados and grew nearly four tonnes of them.

He now sells them directly to local shops.

Another farmer, Chandrashekharan, grew avocados on half a hectare and increased his income.

Farmers in Karnataka are also growing avocados among their coffee plants.

The message was that Indian-grown avocados can benefit both consumers and farmers.
