PM Modi unveils 'Saptdhara' seven reform streams at Red Fort

Every year on August 15, India celebrates its Independence Day.

This year was the 80th celebration, held at the Red Fort in Delhi.

The country's leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, gave a big speech.

For the first time, the patriotic song 'Vande Mataram' was sung at this event.

Modi announced seven big reforms for India, covering better manufacturing, more food production, new technology, faster roads and railways, a stronger military, a cleaner environment, and sharing Indian culture with the world.

He wants India to become a fully developed country by the year 2047.

He also announced a plan to teach one crore (10 million) young people about artificial intelligence and to build 7–8 new computer-chip factories.

He asked all political parties to support a rule reserving 33 percent of seats in Parliament for women.

Modi shared good news too, like every train track now being electric and more than 1.45 crore households getting piped cooking gas.

The celebration began with the flag being raised and a special 21-gun salute.
