Visakhapatnam marks 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour
India celebrated a special birthday called Independence Day in a city named Visakhapatnam.
On this day, everyone remembers when India became a free country.
Many important people came together to hoist the national flag.
A big parade was held by the railway police with lots of marching.
Some people received important papers that prove they own their homes.
A new railway company celebrated its very first Independence Day.
Leaders said they want to make Visakhapatnam an even better city.
A power company said it gives electricity without stopping to millions of homes.
Everyone felt happy and proud of their country.
Visakhapatnam celebrated the 80th Independence Day on Saturday with flag hoisting and parades across the city.
Revenue Minister Angani Satya Prasad said the government is paying special attention to developing Visakhapatnam on all fronts.
A total of 30,366 beneficiaries received assets worth Rs.397.33 crore, including house pattas.
South Coast Railway celebrated its first Independence Day since becoming India's 18th zonal railway on June 1, 2026.
APEPDCL said it provides uninterrupted power supply to 75 lakh consumers across 12 districts in its jurisdiction.
