Over 1.05 Lakh Candidates to Take AEE Recruitment Test
More than 105,000 people have applied for 629 engineering jobs in Andhra Pradesh power companies.
The jobs are for Assistant Executive Engineers, also called AEE posts.
The computer-based tests will take place from August 23 to 27.
Different days are assigned to civil, mechanical, telecom/electronics and electrical engineering candidates.
The exams will be held at 94 centres.
Each test has 100 marks and does not deduct marks for wrong answers.
Officials will use identity checks, cameras and other security measures to keep the exams fair.
The answer key is expected soon after the examinations, while the merit list is expected in the last week of September.
A total of 1,05,566 candidates will compete for 629 Assistant Executive Engineer posts in five Andhra Pradesh power utilities.
The computer-based examination will be held from August 23 to 27 at 94 centres, including 81 in Andhra Pradesh and 13 outside the State.
The vacancies include 200 posts in APTRANSCO, 135 in APEPDCL, 134 in APSPDCL, 100 in APGENCO and 60 in APCPDCL.
The test will carry 100 marks, with 70 marks for technical subjects and 30 for non-technical subjects; there will be no negative marking.
Security measures include biometric verification, CCTV surveillance, encrypted question papers, randomised seating and mobile jammers.
