Grand 80th Independence Day Celebrations Held in Mahabubabad
India celebrated its Independence Day in Mahabubabad district with big ceremonies.
A large event was held at the NTR Grounds.
The chief guest was a leader named Dr Jatoth Ramchander Nayak.
He raised the national flag and received a guard of honour from the police.
He thanked the freedom fighters who helped the country become independent.
He talked about welfare and development programmes for the people.
Freedom fighters and their families were honoured with gifts and praise.
Different government departments put up stalls to show their work.
Students performed patriotic songs and dances for the audience.
A smaller ceremony was also held at the Zilla Parishad office, where the District Collector raised the flag.
The 80th Independence Day celebrations were held in a grand manner at the NTR Grounds in Mahabubabad district headquarters on Saturday.
Government Whip and Dornakal MLA Dr Jatoth Ramchander Nayak attended as chief guest, hoisted the national flag and received the police guard of honour.
Freedom fighters and their family members were felicitated by the Whip along with the MP, MLAs, MLC and other public representatives.
Stalls and exhibitions set up by various government departments showcasing development programmes were a special attraction.
Celebrations were also held at the Zilla Parishad office, where Special Officer and District Collector Dr Sneha Shabarish hoisted the national flag.
