Officials told to expedite Godavari Maha Pushkarams 2027 works
One day, a leader called the District Collector held a big meeting in a town called Amalapuram in India.
He told all the government workers to work together quickly to get ready for a huge festival called the Godavari Maha Pushkarams in 2027.
During this festival, lots of people come to take a holy bath in the Godavari River.
The steps leading to the river, called ghats, need to be built and fixed.
They also need roads, electricity, clean water, toilets, and doctors for the visitors.
The police will help keep everyone safe, and boats will be used for safety on the water.
The officials think many more people will come than last time.
That is why they want everything finished well before the festival begins.
District collector Dr R Mahesh Kumar directed all departments to coordinate and speed up development and infrastructure works for the Godavari Maha Pushkarams 2027.
Irrigation officials said 105 works on 105 Pushkar ghats were taken up at a cost of Rs 39.50 lakh.
