India celebrates its Independence Day every year to remember becoming a free country.
This year, government companies in a port city called Visakhapatnam marked the 80th Independence Day.
They showed off their big achievements and their plans for the future.

Visakhapatnam Port Authority achieved its highest-ever annual cargo throughput of 91.17 million metric tonnes in 2025-26, registering 10.34 per cent growth, and handles nearly 50 per cent of India's seafood exports.
The port handled 32.10 million tonnes during April-July 2026, nearly 13 per cent higher than the corresponding period last year, and expects to cross the 100-million-tonne milestone this year.
South Coast Railway celebrated its first Independence Day as India's 18th railway zone, formed on June 1, 2026, highlighting KAVACH, digital signalling and track renewal achievements.
Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) announced a Rs 7,500-crore business plan to expand its fleet and raise annual dredging capacity to 176 million cubic metres by 2036.
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) CMD M.N.V.S. Prabhakar said every tonne of steel would strengthen Atma Nirbhar Bharat and expressed confidence in overcoming present challenges.
