Premier Energies' Rs 3,000 crore solar cell plant to begin production
A company called Premier Energies is building a big factory in Naidupeta, India.
This factory will make solar cells, which help turn sunlight into electricity.
The factory costs about 3,000 crore rupees to build, which is a huge amount of money.
It will be one of the biggest solar cell plants in the area, with a capacity of 7 gigawatts.
The factory is almost ready, and it got its electricity supply on August 5.
Workers are now installing machines, and the company thinks production will start within two months.
Building the factory has already given jobs to about 4,500 people.
Once it opens, the factory will create more than 3,000 new direct jobs.
The company is also building homes for workers in a nearby village called Athivaram.
The district's leader, called the Collector, promised to help build roads, electricity and water for the area, which will bring more jobs and clean energy to the region.
Premier Energies is setting up a 7 GW solar cell manufacturing plant at Naidupeta SEZ in Tirupati district with an investment of around Rs 3,000 crore.
Commercial production is expected to begin within two months after power supply from APTRANSCO and APSPDCL was provided on August 5.
The construction phase has generated direct and indirect employment for around 4,500 people.
The plant is expected to create more than 3,000 direct jobs once operational, with plans to recruit skilled local youth.
District Collector Dr S Venkateswar directed departments to complete road, electricity and water infrastructure on time, including support for employee housing at Athivaram village.
