Allahabad High Court Judge: AI Must Not Replace Human Consciousness
Artificial intelligence, or AI, is a kind of computer technology that can do smart things like answer questions.
A judge in India named Ajit Kumar talked about AI at a meeting.
He said AI should be a helper for humans, not a replacement for our minds.
He warned that if people depend on AI too much, they may lose important skills like judgement.
He said human consciousness, judgement and self-awareness must stay at the centre of progress.
Other speakers agreed with him.

Kumar spoke at a dialogue on "Human Consciousness in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" organised by SHANKH, an organisation believed to be ideologically inclined to the RSS.
He warned that excessive dependence on AI could weaken essential human abilities, including self-awareness and judgement.
Swami Mitranand of the Chinmaya Mission said AI can present India's spiritual traditions in new ways but cannot replace human originality or spiritual realisation.
Acharya Shantanu Maharaj said AI is a product of human consciousness that can provide answers, but asking questions remains uniquely human.
