Meikarta to host pilot housing project with gas and solar power

The Indonesian government plans a pilot housing project in Meikarta, Bekasi.

It would connect homes to a gas network and use solar power for electricity.

Lippo Group has donated 30 hectares of land, and Danantara is expected to fund and build the project.

Officials are still working out the rules, land arrangements and financing, with no construction start date given.
