TNI Officer Investigated After Cijantung Home Suspected of Hosting Online Gambling

Authorities found a suspected online gambling operation in a military residence in the KPAD Cijantung complex in East Jakarta.

The inquiry began after local residents reported suspicious activity.

Officials said 11 civilians, six men and five women, were taken for questioning, and officers seized 32 computers, 14 mobile phones and nine identity cards.

The residence is linked to Lieutenant Colonel Arman, an Indonesian Army officer who serves in the Jakarta garrison.

One military official said Arman allegedly rented the home to civilians, who then used it for the operation.

Another account said investigators were still examining whether he knew about the activity; officials have also said he was detained for questioning.

The military says legal proceedings are under way and that any soldier found involved will face sanctions under the applicable rules.
