Mumbai Rains: Heavy Showers Slow Traffic In Eastern & Western Suburbs, Delay Harbour Line Trains; IMD Forecasts More Rainfall · freepressjournal.in

On Tuesday morning, Mumbai got very heavy rain.

The rain started around 4 am and was still going when people woke up.

Water collected on the roads, which made it hard for cars and buses to move.

Some big roads like the express highways had slow traffic.

Trains were late too, especially on the Harbour Line.

The weather scientists, called the India Meteorological Department, said more rain is coming.

They think rain might get stronger in Maharashtra starting August 13.

A big weather system called a low-pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal.

One airline, SpiceJet, told passengers to check their flights before going to the airport.

But no official rain warning has been given for Mumbai this week.
