The day before, heavy rain caused traffic jams, delayed trains, and flooded streets in places like Vasai and Nalasopara.
The air in Mumbai was very clean, with an Air Quality Index score of 28, which is a 'Good' rating.
Because of a weather pattern called El Niño, this year's monsoon rain may be less than normal.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert for Mumbai on Thursday, warning of heavy rain and thundershowers in parts of the city.
No rain alert has been issued for Mumbai for the remaining days of the week, while Wednesday saw moderate rain with no alert.
Wind speeds are expected between 40 and 50 kmph, with gusts up to 50-60 kmph during intense spells and a maximum temperature around 31°C.
The previous day's moderate to heavy rains caused traffic jams, train delays and waterlogging in MMR areas such as Vasai and Nalasopara.
Mumbai's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 28 on Thursday morning, placing it in the 'Good' category.
