Godavari Pushkarams: District officials review arrangements for devotees' comfort

District Collector Kirti Chekuri inspected key locations including the Gammam Bridge near Katheru and the Paper Mill Guest House in Rajamahendravaram on Wednesday.
Discussions covered traffic diversions, VIP/VVIP accommodation, parking, regulation of devotees' movement, and coordination of emergency services.
The Collector directed officials to complete traffic management, sanitation, drinking water, power supply, medical services, information boards and help centre arrangements well in advance.
SP D Narasimha Kishore said devotee safety is top priority and that police prepared a special plan covering CCTV surveillance, crowd management, VIP security and emergency response.
Areas likely to draw heavy crowds should be identified and separate action plans prepared, the Collector said.
