TTD Introduces Moving Table for Smooth Prasadam Distribution

Every day, very many people visit the Tirumala temple in India.

When they visit, they receive prasadam, which is special blessed food.

Getting the prasadam used to take a long time and the lines were very crowded.

The temple managers, called TTD, built a clever moving table to help.

The table is like a conveyor belt, similar to the ones that carry luggage at airports.

Plates of prasadam sit on the moving table and glide forward steadily.

Devotees walk alongside the table and simply pick up their plate as it passes.

This way, people move faster and the crowds get smaller.

The moving table was tested near Tirumala Ring Road last month and worked very well.

Now the temple plans to add more moving tables in other places too.
