Andhra Pradesh Plans Improved Indrakeeladri Shrine Services Before Dasara
The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing better facilities at a famous temple in Vijayawada.
These improvements are planned before the Dasara festival.
Two new buildings for preparing and serving temple food have opened.
One building can feed 800 people at one time.
The other building will prepare, pack, and store items such as laddus and pongal.
New machines will help workers prepare food faster and keep it clean.
Officials are also studying a second hill road to reduce traffic and help emergency vehicles.
More parking, rooms, sanitation, drinking water, security, and other services are being planned for devotees.
Andhra Pradesh will introduce improved facilities for devotees at Vijayawada’s Indrakeeladri shrine before the Dasara festivities.
Two food facilities costing a combined Rs 52.50 crore were inaugurated at the hill’s foothills.
The Annaprasada Sadanam can seat 800 devotees, while the Mahaprasada Bhavan includes prasadam counters, preparation areas, and storage.
Mechanised kitchens, improved hygiene measures, and expanded prasadam services are planned for the new buildings.
The government is studying a second ghat road, multi-level parking, devotee rooms, a Keshakhandana Hall, and an Adi Shankaracharya statue.
