Telangana Retains Third Place in STP Exports, Gap Remains Wide

Telangana is a state in India that makes and sells computer software to other places.

It is very good at this, but two other states, Karnataka and Maharashtra, are even better.

In the year 2025-26, Telangana sold software worth about 1.13 lakh crore rupees.

Karnataka sold more than three times as much, and Maharashtra sold about 44 per cent more.

Telangana has 280 software companies, which is fewer than some other states.

But each of Telangana's companies makes a lot of money, so they are very efficient.

An expert says Telangana needs to grow bigger and work on new technology to catch up.

The gap between Telangana and the top states is still very wide.

Telangana is trying hard to get better and sell even more software in the future.
