Adityanath Accuses Previous Governments of Hiding Encephalitis Deaths
Yogi Adityanath said earlier Uttar Pradesh governments called encephalitis an “unknown disease.”
He accused them of using that label to hide the deaths of children.
He said the current government worked to identify and eliminate the disease.
He claimed encephalitis and brain fever have now been wiped out in Uttar Pradesh.

He was there to open an upgraded railway route.
The route is 56.15 kilometres long and has been electrified.
The event also began with a two-minute silence for people affected by floods in Nepal.

He made the remarks in Bahraich during the inauguration of the Nepalganj Road-Nanpara-Bahraich rail section.
The 56.15-kilometre railway section was converted to broad gauge and electrified at an approximate cost of Rs 730 crore.
Four existing train services were extended to Nepalganj Road, and the event opened with a tribute to victims of recent floods in Nepal.
