Truck Carrying Haryana Pilgrims Overturns in Himachal, Injuring 52
A truck carrying pilgrims from Haryana overturned in Himachal Pradesh.
The crash happened near Peer Nigaha in Una district on Tuesday.
The group was travelling to the Naina Devi temple.
The truck lost control while going downhill and fell into a roadside ditch.
All 52 people in the truck were hurt, including women and children.
Local residents helped bring people out of the overturned truck.
The injured were taken to a hospital in Una.
Four people were later sent to a larger hospital in Chandigarh.
Police are investigating what caused the truck to lose control.
A truck carrying more than 50 pilgrims from Haryana’s Karnal district overturned near Peer Nigaha in Una on Tuesday.
All 52 passengers were injured, including women and children, after the truck lost control on a downhill stretch.
Residents helped rescue passengers, who were taken to Regional Hospital in Una by ambulance.
Four injured pilgrims—Neetu, Rakesh, Payal and Jaideep—were referred to PGI Chandigarh for further treatment.
Una police seized the truck and are questioning the driver and witnesses as the exact cause remains undetermined.
