Devotee Killed, 30 Injured as Pilgrims' Bus Overturns in UP
A big two-level bus was taking people to a holy city.
The people were pilgrims who wanted to visit a temple.
Late at night, the bus fell off the road and turned over into a ditch.
Sadly, one man named Hari Shankar Lal Yadav lost his life.
Almost 30 other people got hurt, including the bus driver.
Police think the driver may have fallen asleep while driving.
People nearby and police helped take the injured to a health centre.
Six people with more serious injuries were moved to a bigger hospital.
The other pilgrims were helped with plans to go back to their homes.
A devotee was killed and nearly 30 people, including the bus driver, were injured when a pilgrims' double-decker bus overturned into a ditch.
The bus was carrying pilgrims from Haridwar to Ayodhya when it crashed on NH-30 in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh.
The deceased was identified as Hari Shankar Lal Yadav (50), who died on the spot.
Police said the driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the bus near a gurdwara in the Uchauliya area.
Injured passengers were rushed to the Pasgawan community health centre, and around six critical cases were referred to the district hospital in Shahjahanpur.
