Haryana Plans 582 Village Knowledge Centres for Rural Services
Haryana government to set up 582 Village Knowledge Centres for Rs 514 crore · theprint.in

Haryana wants to build 582 centres to help people in villages access government services more easily.

The centres will work like one-stop offices for different departments.

They will include rooms for meetings, village leaders, digital libraries and other services.

The project is expected to cost Rs 514.53 crore.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini asked officials to approve and complete the project quickly.

He also wants every centre to have a tree and a raised platform called a chabutra.

These spaces are meant to help villagers meet and talk, not just receive services.

Officials were also told to repair damaged parts of streets, improve village roads and maintain streetlights.
