Godavari Pushkaram 2027 Ghat Construction Begins in Bhadrachalam
Preparations have started for a large religious event called the Godavari Pushkarams.
The event will take place in June and July 2027.
Workers began building bathing ghats near the Godavari River in Bhadrachalam.
A collector and an MLA officially started the work after religious rituals.
The project will happen in three phases.
About Rs 49 crore has been set aside for all the work.
More ghats and facilities will be built in several nearby areas.
Officials want everything ready so pilgrims can bathe and visit without difficulty.
Preparatory works for the 2027 Godavari Pushkarams began in Bhadrachalam on Saturday.
District Collector Ankit and MLA Dr Tellam Venkat Rao launched the works with a bhoomi puja.
The government sanctioned about Rs 49 crore across three phases for the project.
Ghats are planned for Bhadrachalam, Parnasala, Mothe Pattinagar and several other areas.
The works are expected to finish by March next year, ahead of the June-July 2027 Pushkarams.
