Mumbai Adds Weekly Special Trains To Kerala And Goa

Railways is adding extra weekly trains from Mumbai during the busy festive season.

One train will connect Mumbai with Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.

Another train will connect Mumbai with Madgaon in Goa.

The Thiruvananthapuram train will run on Thursdays toward Kerala and Saturdays back to Mumbai.

The Madgaon train will run on Fridays, with different timings during two periods.

These trains will stop at many stations along the Konkan coast and farther south.

The extra services are meant to give passengers more travel choices.

They are also intended to help handle the expected increase in passengers.

Mumbai–Thiruvananthapuram outbound: Train 01463 runs every Thursday from October 15 to November 19, 2026; departure is 4:00 PM and arrival is 11:30 PM the next day.
Mumbai–Thiruvananthapuram return: Train 01464 runs every Saturday from October 17 to November 21, 2026; departure is 2:15 PM and arrival is 11:55 PM the next day.
Mumbai–Thiruvananthapuram coaches: 22 coaches: four 3-tier AC, 11 sleeper, five general and two SLR coaches.
Mumbai–Madgaon first period: Train 01179 runs Fridays from October 9 to October 16, departing at 8:20 AM and arriving at 10:10 PM.
Mumbai–Madgaon second period: The service also runs from October 23 to November 20, with arrival in Madgaon revised to 8:30 PM.
Madgaon return service: Train 01180 departs at 11:00 PM during the first period and 10:00 PM during the second period, arriving in Mumbai at 11:25 AM the next day.
Mumbai–Madgaon coaches: 24 coaches: one First AC, four 2-tier AC, eight 3-tier AC, eight sleeper, one pantry car and two generator cars.
