Tricolour, Talent and Tribute Mark Nizamabad Independence Day
The Tricolour is the name of India's flag, and its colours were flying high in the city of Nizamabad on Saturday.
That day was India's 80th Independence Day, a special day when the country celebrates being free.
A big celebration took place at the Police Parade Ground.
The chief guest was P. Sudarshan Reddy, who is the State Government Advisor.
He hoisted the national flag and took the police salute.
Many workers were given certificates because they did a great job, and policemen got medals as a special honour.
Freedom fighters, the heroes who helped India become free, and their families were also thanked.
Students from four different schools danced and sang patriotic songs for everyone.
Guests could also visit stalls showing government programmes for farming, schools, hospitals and more.
It was a day of joy, pride and saying thank you to people who serve the country.

He inspected stalls showcasing development and welfare programmes in agriculture, education, healthcare, rural development, irrigation and housing.
Employees received certificates for outstanding service, while policemen who received medals were honoured.
Students from four schools gave cultural performances to patriotic songs, and freedom fighters and their families were felicitated.
