Sudarshan Reddy warns quality lapses in school works won't be tolerated
A government advisor named P. Sudarshan Reddy visited Nizamabad to check on work being done in government schools.
He told officials to finish all the work that is still pending as quickly as possible.
He said students' needs must come first.
He wants every school to have clean drinking water and working toilets, with no excuses.
If builders do bad work, they should be banned from getting more projects.
He also said money from a special fund called VBGSY should be used to build and fix sanitation blocks.
Uniforms made by Self-Help Groups should be given to students within one week.
He asked for extra teachers to cover staff shortages.
He also wanted rice millers who owe money to pay it back.
Finally, he asked for better garbage collection points in villages and in Nizamabad town.
Government Advisor P. Sudarshan Reddy directed officials to complete all pending development works in government schools on a war footing.
He insisted on zero compromise in providing drinking water and toilet facilities and ordered strict quality monitoring.
Contractors failing to meet prescribed standards should be blacklisted, he said.
Officials were directed to use VBGSY funds for sanitation block construction and repairs and distribute Self-Help Group-stitched uniforms within a week.
He also called for alternative teachers, recovering dues from defaulting rice millers, and establishing multiple garbage dumping points in Nizamabad.
