Srinivas Reddy hoists national flag at Hanumakonda Independence Day celebrations
Every year, India celebrates the day it became a free country.
This year was the 80th time India celebrated this special day.
In a city called Hanumakonda, people gathered at the Police Parade Grounds.
A very important leader named Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy came as the special guest.
He raised India's national flag.
The police gave him a special salute to honour him.
The leader said the government wants to help people and make the district better.
They also thanked the freedom fighters who helped India become free.
School children sang patriotic songs and performed dances.
Everyone came together to remember the heroes of India.
The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the Police Parade Grounds in Hanumakonda on Saturday.
State Revenue Minister and Warangal district in-charge Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, the chief guest, hoisted the national flag and received a ceremonial police salute.
The Minister said the government was committed to public welfare and development while honouring the sacrifices of freedom fighters.
Warangal MP Dr. Kadiyam Kavya, MLAs Nayini Rajender Reddy and K.R. Nagaraju, and MLC Baswaraju Saraiah honoured freedom fighters and their family members.
Government department stalls showcased development programmes, and government school students performed patriotic and cultural programmes.
