Final candidate lists for Madurantakam, Dharapuram bypolls due today

Officials will announce the final candidate lists for two Assembly bye-elections on Saturday.

The constituencies are Madurantakam and Dharapuram, and both are reserved seats.

Voting is planned for October 6.

In Madurantakam, 48 people submitted nomination papers, but officials accepted only 28.

In Dharapuram, 51 papers were submitted, and 22 were accepted.

Candidates can still withdraw before the final lists are released.
