DMK Candidate Files Nomination for Dharapuram Assembly Bypoll
S. Suganya is the DMK candidate for the Dharapuram Assembly bypoll.
She officially submitted her nomination papers on Tuesday.
The papers were given to Dharapuram official Felix Raja.
DMK leader M.P. Saminathan was present.
He criticized the TVK candidate for leaving the MLA position after winning as an AIADMK candidate.
He also said the TVK government had not delivered promised benefits.
The Communist parties decided to contest the bypolls separately.
Saminathan said this would not hurt the DMK.
Advocate S. Suganya filed her nomination for the Dharapuram Assembly constituency bypoll on Tuesday.
The nomination was submitted before Dharapuram RDO Felix Raja in Tiruppur district.
DMK deputy general secretary and former minister M.P. Saminathan attended the filing.
Saminathan urged voters to reject the TVK candidate, citing the candidate’s resignation after winning on an AIADMK ticket.
He said the Communist parties would contest independently and that their decision would not affect the DMK.
