Bengaluru food safety drive intensifies; 11 eateries receive violation notices
People whose job is to keep food safe are visiting restaurants and hotels in a big city called Bengaluru.
They want to make sure the food people eat is clean and safe to eat.
They check how fresh the food is, how clean the kitchens are, and how food is packed and labelled.
If they think something might be bad, they take a small sample to test in a laboratory.
The checks started on Friday and are still going on.
On Saturday, they planned to check about 30 places and finished checking 26 of them.
They gave notices to 11 places because those places were not following the rules.
Some places had problems with their labels and packaging.
If a place keeps breaking the rules, it could be punished or even lose its licence to sell food.
The inspectors plan to keep checking other areas of Karnataka too, so everyone can enjoy safe food.
