Indonesia’s BULOG rice procurement exceeds 4 million tonnes

BULOG is Indonesia’s state food agency.

By October 8, it had procured more rice and paddy than the government’s 4-million-tonne target.

The agency said the milestone reflects efforts to buy crops from local farmers.

Officials also stressed that rice stocks must be stored well and distributed across the country, including island regions.
