Industry group urges faster approvals for Indonesia’s economic zones and projects

Indonesia’s industrial estates association says slow approvals could make the country lose investment opportunities.

It wants a faster process for strategic projects and special economic zones that are ready to proceed.

The group points to China and Vietnam, which it says have developed industrial zones with coordinated policies and infrastructure.

More investment could support jobs, exports and economic growth.
