DKPP receives two complaints over Gibran’s education eligibility
Indonesia’s election ethics council, the DKPP, has received two complaints linked to a Constitutional Court ruling about the education requirements for Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s 2024 vice-presidential candidacy.
The complaints were filed on October 8 and 9, 2026.
One names the head and six members of the national election commission, the KPU.
The other names six KPU officials and five officials from the election supervisory body, Bawaslu.
The council has not decided whether the complaints will become formal cases.
It will first check whether the filings are complete, then assess the evidence and whether it relates to the allegations.
Complainants may have a chance to correct incomplete paperwork, while complaints that meet the requirements at both stages can proceed to hearings.
