Verstappen takes Singapore sprint pole with one flying lap

Verstappen was fastest in sprint qualifying at Singapore’s street circuit.

He made one fast lap on soft tyres, while George Russell and Charles Leclerc used different lap plans.

Pirelli said all three approaches worked well and did not identify one as best.

The result gives Verstappen the leading starting position for the sprint, though his risky approach left less room for error.
