Verstappen wins Singapore Grand Prix as Antonelli nears F1 title
Max Verstappen won the Singapore Grand Prix, his first victory at the race, by 7.3 seconds over Charles Leclerc.
The win came at the Marina Bay Circuit in Singapore, on Verstappen’s 250th Formula 1 start.
Kimi Antonelli finished third, while his closest title rival, George Russell, came ninth after starting from the back of the grid.
Antonelli, a 20-year-old Italian driving for Mercedes, now leads Russell by 102 points.
Six rounds remain in the season, as things stand.
Antonelli can secure his first world championship at the next race, in Austin, if he is 126 points clear after it.
