Norris says poor Singapore sprint qualifying lap had “no excuse”

Norris said he did not put together a good lap in the final part of sprint qualifying.

Piastri was 0.133 seconds faster and qualified fourth, while Norris was fifth.

McLaren had introduced a fix for fuel injection issues that had affected the car at earlier races.

Norris said the team seemed closer, but took responsibility for his result.
